I saw his quilts while we were on a visit to La Costa about 8 years ago, way before I was quilting. They are amazing up close and personal. I especially liked a sculpture he did of a black leather jacket hanging on a hook. This guy is a genius!

I saw one of his pieces at Paducah a few years ago - truly amazing work. Your hand just automatically started moving towards it - you felt you had to touch it .... but there's a big sign that says Do Not Touch. I guess they wouldn't last long if thousands of hands kept touching, so it is understandable for sure.

Truly wonderful. If I'm not mistaken, they have some of his work hanging in the AQS quilt museum in Paducah. They were lovely to stare at.
