I am so un-hip. My first thought on reading this thread was the hot beds (which are miniature greenhouses) that we build in garden to start seed early. I thought, well how dumb. This is fall. It's the wrong time of year to talk about hot beds. Fortunately I did get a clue before opening any links. I am so old :-)

My thought was just "I don't like a hot bedroom. I much prefer the room cool and the bed warm." On cold nights I use an electric blanket. I too must be getting old! I've never had a video machine in the bedroom. If I want to watch something, I snuggle down on the sofa under the quilts and the cats... I watched Persuasion and Mansfield Park last night!
