Re: LQS in Northwoods MN

The Minn Quilt show yearly is not to be missed I hear from all in my guild who attend, have you been to it? No wonder with these great shops so handy!

But they are not handy unless the show happens to be in Duluth, as it was several years ago. Last year it was in St. Cloud, this year it was in St. Paul, and next year it will be in Rochester. I am looking forward to that, because I'm close enough to walk! No parking hassles for me, unless I take a class that I have to have my sewing machine.

I've never been to that show. Do you have any idea where and when it is held? We usually go up every 5 years for DH's class reunion but there's nothing to say we can't go visit some other time. I am sure my VDMIL would be very pleased :-). CiaoMeow >^;;^< . PAX, Tia Mary >^;;^< Angels can't show their wings on earth but nothing was ever said about their WHISKERS!! That's easily solved. Beg, buy, or borrow -- or rent -- a folding luggage cart to haul your sewing machine. You can buy a lightweight wire one for $20 or so. I could ship you mine, but the shipping would cost more than that. Besides, it really isn't mine -- I "forgot" that I left it in the trunk of my car when I hauled all my stuff home from the office. But, being raised by honest parents, I will have to "remember" it before I leave town and take it back to the Agency.

The Minn Quilt show sounds wonderful! I am drooling all over my keyboard. As soon as I win the lottery, I am gonna plan out my calendar based on quilt shows, starting with Houston. Here in my home state, and I've never gone. Two years ago, I signed up for a bus-and-shared hotel room deal, but not enough others signed up to reach the minimum, so it fell through -- and by then, no hotels I could afford were available.

You're back!!!

HEY ... I used to live in your area. Was in Mableton for several years, then moved to Marietta. Anyway, I worked for C.C.C.S. in Atlanta for quite awhile. Divorced, moved to Marietta and went to work at Southern Tea Co there in Marietta. If I ever left MN (not!!!), I'd go back to GA. It's as comfortable there as this ng is here.

Enjoyed hearing of your LQS visits. I've never been to that one in Hermantown, and will have to check it out on my next Duluth run ... which isn't far away. Heck, you've listed several I'm anxious to check out!

Allow me to add that anyone heading up here, to the NorthWoods area, is surely welcome to visit me as well. We love company. :^)
