return

Jo in Ontario here, back after several years where I couldn't access this group and actually respond...feels grand to be able to join in again: still quilting, still working and looking forward to more quilting after I retire. Is Jo in Scotland still here?

Hi, Jo! Welcome home! Jo in Scotland pops in every once in a while. Right now she's busy getting ready to become a mommy! I'll bet she's reading and you'll hear from her.

Hullo Jo. Glad you could find us again. You'll soon get back into the swing of things here. Always something buzzing; questions, answers, sites to check on - and 'life'. . In message , JoP writes

Here I am! I sandwiched a flannel Hungry Animals panel with cotton batting and a flannel Hungry Animals alphabet letters print yesterday. Just the thing for a January baby, I think, and done in a nice mint green. I was drawing the quilting lines with a green Crayola washable marker, and it is getting harder to get down on my hands and knees.... but fortunately my QI Daisy was there to supervise.

What are you working on now?

Welcome back, "other" Jo! :) Jo in Scotland is indeed here, though not as frequently as before she had "other interests". ;)

Not much right now- a baby quilt made of leftover batiks which turned out quite pretty (with help from my girlfriend's stash.) I was going through old papers and came across the stamps I had been saving to send you (wasn't it you who was the stamp collector?) Now can't find them & hope they didn't get purged with some other papers.

So exciting that you are going to be a new mom! We now are enjoying our three grandchildren- two girls from my son who had testicular cancer and a boy from our oldest son...the BEST time of life to be sure- all of the joy and none of the worry (and I loved being a mom!)

We are blessed to have both families within walking distance of our home- so we get lots of time playing with the children. Truly having children has been my greatest gift from life. Wishing you all the best and looking forward to hearing further news.
