I'm really into Annie's Choice
But, I am the proud owner of a Hunter's Star quilt that I absolutely adore! My DH's aunt made it for us for our "wedding quilt." I won't put it on the bed. I want it in the living room where I can see it all day long! It's on the back of my chair, at least until I get cold!
Have fun with that one Melissa! It's beautiful when finished!

Each of those quilts is stunning! One block and two fabrics... and what awesome quilts!

The one I just finished : ) As of yesterday, it was a House with a Tree next to it (and now working on a fence to 'finish' the look). Best part, DS helped me figure proportions, etc and in choosing a couple of details (had a picture to go by. Will have to have him put these up on our website this weekend. Remind me.
Butterfly (even had DH give his opinion as I was working on it and he said DS was better at it than he was. Told him I didn't buy it--he was just trying to 'get off the hook' )
Those are gorgeous, Melissa. There really is something wonderful about that pattern, isn't there? Jan Krentz has a very good book out that makes this one even easier than it might normally be -- it's not the most complicated pattern in the world ("Wild Thing" comes to mind ), but it certainly is beautiful. You can do it in two colors, as most of the links you provided showed, or you can do it scrappy, as long as there's lots of contrast between the different areas.
I like the way you did the secondary pattern too.
That is LOVELY!!!! I just got that book off of ebay. Waiting for it to come! :)

well, right now it's a log cabin. I'm making 2 of them. One in Blue and yellow and one scrappy. They are both gorgeous!

I can't take credit for it. It's from the aforementioned book on Hunter's Star by Jan Krentz. Though the little stars on the borders were ones I designed in EQ5 and added. I really like the Hunter's star pattern too. KJ
Right now I'm working on a Balkan Puzzle block:

Cool block Jo. It's a really good one to try transparancy effects. KJ
I assume you are doing it with templates? So, if you have the seamlines drawn, be sure to match from corner to corner. Or, you could cut the templates out of freezer paper, stick them to the reverse of the fabric and sew along the edge of the freezer paper. I love that method, especially with angled pieces. .
