Favorite Batik Shops?

A couple of years ago (I think) someone posted, asking for everyone's favorite shops for batik fabrics. I picked out a few, and bought from a couple. But, now, of course, one new computer later, I lost that site! So -- once again, people -- do you have a super-favorite place to get batiks? The one I'm thinking about was mostly batiks, and so original, as well as affordable.

So -- what's your favorite source for batiks?

Arthur IL is near me and they have a quilt shop that caters to both the Amish and "gentiles", or whatever non-amish are called. They have a delicious selection of cotton fabrics and everything - including half an aisle of batiks, is priced 2 or 3 dollars below anywhere else I've found - unfortunately they don't have a website - but I'd be glad to take anyone over there if they happen to come through central IL. I also discovered a batik dealer I'd never heard of before. They are going to have a booth at the Bloomington IN quilt show this week so I hopped over to their website:

They carrysome batiks styles I've also never heard of, like batik spray, bledakan, and nuance batik, as well as silk batiks. Prices aren'tanything special, but the batiks are unusual. Musicmaker

I buy nearly all my batiks from materialpleasure.com If you sign up for her email list, she has all her batiks for $6.00 a yard every couple of months and you'll be notified of the sale. I just bought some sale batiks for $7.50 cuz I can't wait for the next sale! She also has a LOT of other lovelies on sale at any given time. Excellent place to spend your stash money- with great service, fair shipping rates and she responds quickly to emails.... and her name is Leslie, too!

Thanks Rusty! It sounds familiar, and I'm going to check it out this evening when I have a little more time to "browse." :)

Thank you, Leslie! Now that I'm looking for a good site, I can't seem to think of anything else. I was up until 2:00 AM the other day just reading / writing email! I'm checking out your site tonight.
