I'm not sure what the official answer is... but when I filled out my form... I listed it as "Kate in MI" -- how I sign my posts...

hi Jane in NE Ohio, ...and i put nzlstar* cuz thats what shows in my 'from' column tho i sign with my name. make an executive decision, i'm sure we'll all know who it is. both will show on the directory, eh. so no worrys really. will you be coming to the meet up at Novi Sewing Expo at end of sept? hopefully Kate and I will both be there, along with a few others, Gen from Ohio and uhhhhh, oh heck, i've forgotten already, trust me, lol. cheers, jeanne

You can use whatever you want to be known as. Sometimes the siggy is longer then the "From" name, but I use the same name for both. Keep in mind that we like to keep the field width as short as possible since we put a lot of information on the form. For instance, the form asks for TWO favorite colors. Some folks were very creative and tried to fill space with four colors each. I can't guarantee all will make it to the form. The first choices definitely will, no promises about other choices.

I use Kate in Michigan because there are other Kates out there. I use Kate G. for the from because of other newsgroups I participate in where the Kate in MI... would seem really strange!

I think it's ok to use whatever name you choose for whatever reason. For the Directory however, you need to make a choice since we have one field for the screen name. And this is the name that is used to sort the Directory whether it's the spreadsheet or the text version. So, check the confirmation page that you printed out (you did print it, right?) and check to see if you entered more than one name in this field. If you did, you need to let me know which one you prefer.

When in Sept??? I've got to be downstate for my cousin's wedding in Sept and will be staying at mom's for part of the weekend --- in Novi! If it works out to be that weekend but not the day of the wedding, I'd love to try and meet up too.....

2 weeks too late and since mom just told DH and I that my cousin's birthday is the last time we get to kick her out of her house (too small for all 3 of us at one time, only one bedroom, etc. so she's been going to stay with her mom while we are in town), I can't afford a trip down two weeks later -- even if gas was reasonably priced.

Oh well, have fun, post pictures ....let me live vicariously.....

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, not fair. its just not fair, hrmph. i hope Gen has a good camera, i only have a couple of those use once types. i need a digital but if i get one here i cant recharge batterys in usa, if i get one there, i cant recharge here, its a catch 22. :( we'll do our best for ya, eh. we'll toast a drink of sumpin to you and those others who cant make it to the novi show. hugz, jeanne
