I finally got some pics up on Webshots of some quilts I have made. Or at least the ones I haven't given away. I'd love to share them if anyone cares to take a peek.
Thanks!

Wonderful! Thank you for posting the pictures so we could enjoy the fruits of your labor. joan
Great job, Sherry. I love your color coordination. Thanks for sharing.
Lovely work you do Sherry.
But, I purely adore that quilting frame you have!!!!! Did you make it yourself? Do you have directions or a pattern or something? I must try to make one of those. Holes drilled in the cross pieces how far apart? Bolts with wing nuts to hold it together? How do you fasten the far end of the quilt: wrap around a stationary bar? sew to a sleeve?
Inquiring minds want to know :-)

I love the tulip one. :^)
WOW! How gorgeous your quilts are! I love the little houses!
Keep on quilting,

Thanks, Rose. My MIL gave it to me. "Back in the day"....ladies just went to the local lumberyard and said, "Make me a quilt frame". It is just four 1x2's. Two are about 120" long & two are about 80" long. They're screwed together with bolts & wing nuts into a rectangle. An eye-hook thing has twine tied to it, that hangs from the ceiling. You just take your backing, and sew it with real heavy thread or kite string, to the frame by sewing around and through the holeswith a super-long needle. Then lay your batting & quilt top on top and baste or pin around the edges. Then you quilt as far as you can reach on the long sides. Then loosen your kite string on both short ends, take out the bolt, and roll a foot or two, then put your bolts in another hole, quilt as far as you can reach, and repeat! It's a really simple concept, but you know it just works wonderfully. The only drawback is it takes up a lot of room, and the size of my quilts is limited to the size of the frame. Thanks for lookin!

They are all beautiful! My favorite is Gardenwalk--Is that from a pattern or is it your own design?

Oops, Rose, I can see how my post might be confusing. I made that yellow quilt too wide to fit on the frame. So I just basted on the far side. I ended up having to take it off the frame to finish the last foot or so. That's what I mean about being limited to size. Normally, you should have been able to see several inches of backing/batting on that side.

Thanks, Sherry. They're really lovely - so bright and pretty. Your quilting is beautiful. I do like them all, but I specially fell for the way you did the borders (especially the corners) of Sweet Sixteen. So clever, and most effective. . In message , Sherry writes
