Sort of OT - busted ruler, what glue?

Dec 06, 2005 3 Replies

Hi there!

This is for all of the chemical engineers in our group... grin

I have now two busted rulers. They are the lime green plastic w/ the lines laser-cut in to them. Nice clean breaks. I can fit the pieces back together and it feels like they've never been apart. Until I lay them down again... sigh

What glue do I use for that plastic?

Thanks in advance for any advice...

Not a chemical engineer..... but I do have a three year old and I've never tried it on a ruler, but I can tell you super glue can fix many things. Lay it down on wax or parchment paper to keep it from sticking to whatever surface you are working on. Did 5 Christmas ornaments and a set of reindeer antler repairs this way....... can you say over stimulated?? lol

I don't know what kind of plastic eye glass frames are made of but super glue won't work on them!

My SO installs extra hard drives in computers, when there is no slot for them, by gluing them to the case with silicone.
