Welcome to the group, Alejandra! What sorts of patchwork do you teach? Do you have pictures of your work posted anywhere that we could see? :)

this the design you want to do?it makes a lovely cushion cover.its nice the design is there for free. the flower squares finish at 6" when the cushion is all sewn together. you need 8 flowers for the centre circle and 12 flowers for the outside circle. add 1/2 inch for the seam allowance ' if the flowers are printed on the fabric '. so cut your squares 6 - 1/2 inches.

' IF you Appliqué the flowers onto the background fabric ' you may need to cut the background an extra 1/2 inch bigger (7 inches) and trim to 6-1/2inches square after the flowers are appliqué'd on. this allows for the shrink that you get with appliqué.

the 12 rectangles are cut 2 - 1/2 inch X 6 - 1/2 inch. then sew the squares and rectangle together as the pictures show.

i just saw your link to kromhouse. i like the pieced flower there, also for free. after you make the flowers, trim the squares to 6-1/2 inch square. you will lose some but i think that is the simplest way to do it. i would make one first to double check that it will work.

i hope you understand. ask more questions if you dont understand. j.

i see your worrys now. the words say 3 sizes of flowers...6, 8 and 10 inch. the pix doesnt work out that way, hmmmm.

oh dear.... i cant see a way to work that out from the pix. the numbers do not work. hmmmm.

you could try this.... make the middle small flowers 5" finished. add a 1" finished rectangle down the side of those 2 for the extra 1" width needed. j.

please do let us know how this works. i might try it myself in EQ4. i like the pieced method of the 'floating' flowers. you might want to just make a couple of each flower size and see how that works before doing all of them. good luck, j.

Repeating myself: these are probably copyrighted patterns, being sold on the website. Shipping is available worldwide.

Jan has an "ask me" address: If someone is teaching this for pay, copying info for free just wouldn't be "right". I'm sure a quilter wouldn't want to do that.
