I Haven't Been Doing Nothing

but it doesn't seem like I'm getting much done. I'm about finished with store samples and ready to dig back into my own projects. Tomorrow I need to familiarize myself with 'Winner's Bouquet' as I'm teaching a class on Saturday morning.

Here are the latest completed projects, (not counting two pairs of socks!)

Oh how I love the Baby Lone Star. Please do make another picture after it's quilted. Do you think I'd have to get out my list of blue language to make one? Polly

Joan, your work is always so lovely! I do like that lone star especially! :)

The method for doing the Lone Star is simple enough. Make strip sets, cut at an angle, sew together into diamond shapes. Actually, the thing that makes this one easier, is the fact that the setting squares are actually two pieces. That avoids the dreaded 'Y' seam. It did not, however, keep me from having ripples. But, as they say, I think it will 'quilt out.' :> Don't know that I want to do any more, but I have strips leftover and I need several baby quilts. But there are easier, quicker patterns for baby quilts, that's for sure. joan joan

I never imagined you were doing nothing Joan. You seem to just get so much sewing done. I enjoy it all. I like seeing the socks too though. You inspire me with all your wonderful work. Taria

great work as always, Joan. i can see the appeal of 'one' lone star for the baby quilt but what i really loooooooove is the fabric used on the Hobo Bag. those are my all time favourite floral motifs. nice colour too, i love greens, all greens, well nearly all greens, mostly LIME but whatever. snorfle, j.

you have a list? you actually keep them on a list? do you need to read the list before uttering them? making decisions is a real pita sometimes. :)) snorfle, j.

Love your work, Joan! The baby Lone Star is great. Your Jitterbug socks make me want to learn to knit--like I need another hobby LOL.
