Just had to post that my DGD went home last night with her completed quilt! As I thought, her blocks weren't cut properly but we managed to get the quilt together. She enjoyed first designing her quilt on the wall and then sewing the blocks together into rows. When it came to sewing the rows, she wanted Nan to help. Until then she kept me busy pressing the seems. Then we switched jobs and I stitched the rows together and she pressed. We even got to paint flowers onto muslin and then fuse the flowers onto the corners of the quilt, which I then machine appliqued. I sewed the ties and Abby tied them. Then I machine stitched the binding. She was in a hurry to finish because school begins today and she wasn't sure when she could return to finish her quilt. We even made a pillow using a block she found in my sewing room.
