swap : dora the explorer fabric?

Question

Where does the time go - my 19 month old daughter, Iona, is already walking, talking and developing a huge obsession with Dora the Explorer. Doesn't seem like 2 minutes since I was posting on here fed up, tired and bored because she was 9 days overdue.

Anyhow. I'd love to do her a Dora quilt for her room and it's really hard to get fabric over here. If anyone on the other side of the Pond has some that they'd like to swap, I'd love to hear from you. Will swap for chocolate/sweets as well as fabric!!

What exactly do you want? I have tons of Dora fabric avaialble, including fleece!! DD still loves Dora or else I'd just send you the throw/blankie/whatever you want to call it that I made for her a while ago.

Morag, if you don't find what you need -- or enough of it -- you could always do what I did when I needed to make DGS#2 a little "something" when his baby brother (now almost three!) was born. I googled images of Dora and made him a little placemat with machine appliqué -- you know that, if I can do it, anyone can, since I'm all thumbs with appliqué! Anyway, you can see what I mean at , and you could either use the idea to make a larger image or make several smaller blocks to get up to quilt size.

Anything, really. I have just managed to find a yard of pink Dora/Boots fabric on Ebay so was thinking about doing a very basic nine patch comforter blankie using it as the focus fabric and other pinks and purples from my stash.Morag
