template site

I found this really great site for non-slip aluminum templates for about any shape you can think of. I think the prices are in the ball park and the various shapes come in a variety of sizes. It is an interesting site to check out. Just think, any piece can now be cut with a rotary cutter.

I have some of these (bought pre-cutter, when I used them a lot). The aluminum is not as thick as an acrylic template, so be very careful with your fingers!! But they absolutely do not slip. Roberta in D

I have some of these but I don't use them with a cutter. I use them for marking the "odd" shapes and then cut qith scissors. Some of them are quite small and I was just not comfortable weilding a cutter that close to my fingers.

IIRC, those aluminum templates are pretty flat. Couldn't you put your acrylic ruler over them and use the rotary cutter that way?

I don't have the templates and have never tried it, but...

Yeah, you could. I just found it as quick and easy to mark and cut a few at a time as I needed them.

I ones precut a big quilt, I put the pieces into envelopes in a big old plastic bag.......and then I moved..........I never found it again, I think someone thought it was rubbisch and threw it in the bin........

I now precut only what I need in one day:))

I have ordered several of their templates and I love them. Their prices aren't too bad either.

They do have some good stuff but sadly they are closing. Stuff is being sold off on Ebay.

Cheryl, I have done several searches in eBay and could not find them. Can you give me a clue?

I just went to the Ebay link on their site - the one you gave. I didn't see a lot of templates.

When you go to their site, on the left hand side you will see Templates. Click on that and scroll down the page a bit. You will see two pages that say PDF and underneath them it says "View and Print Pattern Sets" or "View and Print Product/Price List". Click on either one of them and you will see the different patterns that they make. On the first page it shows one of the acrylic templates that they make. They don't have the actual acrylic templates for every pattern shown on the website any longer. They used to have a bunch of them but now they have a page of patterns. If that makes any sense.

TVM - I will go back and look again

Not that I need any more templates. Over years of teaching I have accumulated almost every template known to quilters lol
