Thanks for that shop link, Cheryl. Looks good.

Thanks Di. I might see if I can look at one in person at my LQS. At least I have a price to compare it with now. :-)

Hello Leigh,

I should say that it was on special from $15.95. Still that's not bad considering they are $6.00 USA then you would have postage and packing on top of that plus conversion. Also, postage has to be added to mine and I wont know how much until they actually ship the order. Shouldn't be much though - it better not be :>)

Hi Maureen,

That's mainly what I would be using it for - I like using HSTs a lot.

Hey we have the same machine!!! I have the 28!

Hi Sharon, I bought mine secondhand about 6 years ago and love it. It has never missed a beat. I still have my first Janome but it is on holiday with my sister in Rochester and I use it when I go visit her. It's her fault I am now learning quilting :>)

"Fault" has nothing to do with it lol she did you a BIG favour!!

The most important thing she forgot to tell me was that it can be so addictive and sometimes expensive but I solved that problem by raiding all the op shops and buying up all the cotton sheets and pillow slips and unbacked cotton curtains - I now have a really lovely stash I can call my own.

I am amazed at what some people 'throw' out to these shops - perfectly good quilting material :>)
