Totally OT: Who is Your American Idol?

Okay -- not everybody even cares! But it is fun to watch and both these young men can sing!

So who do you think will be the new American Idol?

My vote???

David Archuletta has the better voice -- but David Cooke has greater marketability. I wonder if Simon's going overboard last night was an effort to really push the Cooke fans to vote.

We will soon see.... and remember -- state who you THINK will win...

If you post after the conclusion of the show -- DO NOT SPOIL IT FOR THOSE ON THE WEST COAST!

Thanks

Kate - I agree with everything you said. They are both winners. I hope it is a tie!!!! I really, really like them both but I have downloaded David A's songs to my iPod and not any other contestant. My absolute fav David A song is Another Day in Paradise. Don't know why it strikes my fancy, but it really does.

I will be watching.

I much prefer David C. - he's got a great voice, great looks - the whole package. I close my eyes and listen to the both of them and say to myself 'yup I'd buy David C's CD'. But I think David A. is going to win - he's great too, but I just don't think he'll sell as well as Big David.

The songs I have downloaded are:

Another Day in Paradise, Imagine and Love Me Tender. I'll probably download some others after last night!

I thought the show was really great last night. The winner was almost anti-climatic. There isn't enought decent music shows on, just all that monkey hop around spinning stuff where they don't sing, just talk.

Anyway, I enjoyed the young people singing to where I could understand the words. Then, my fav won. The reason I liked D. Cook was that he could sing many different kinds of music, plus entertain. D. A tended to just stand there and swoon. A second F. Sinatra. He had a beautiful voice, but I don't think it will sell in today's market.

My two cents - look forward to seeing what happens to this years 12. I think most of them will be around for quite awhile doing something musica.
