Wacky-wedge quilting

I've been perusing quilting magazine looking for one I liked and could suggest to DS's and DH that a subscription would make a nice little BD gift. Came across the June 2003 issue of Quilter's World. They have the directions in there for a wacky-wedge quilt that is gorgeous. It's called "Wizard's Garden" and I really, really want to make this. I thought all my pansy fabric would be perfect but alas - I only bought FQ or a mitre. I'm going to be good though and finish my WIP first. I think. Maybe. Well, no harm it picking out the fabric, right

I guess it's a type of Stack 'n Wack or maybe it IS Stack 'n Wack I don't know. Has anyone made this type of quilt? I would love to see pics.

I also liked the "Storm at Sea Star" on the cover. I'm signed up for a class with Carol Doak in September and if I find I enjoy foundation piecing, I think I may try this pattern.

The fabric I bought has about a 12" repeat so I bought enough for 16 repeats. I plan to make the strips 2 repeats wide instead of only one. I did see a few fabrics with a bigger repeat, but not very many.
