Wow, you've been busy! And so nice! Do they all have homes?

Those are so nice and colorful!! I bet you're having fun doing the feathers. I can't quite get the hang of those. I second Heidi - are they all claimed?

Yes, they're all claimed. No matter what I make, there always seems to be a place for it to live!!

I enjoyed the tour, Alice. My personal favorite is your candy cane quilt. How long did it take you to collect all those reds? . . . and was anybody's closet safe until you had enough? Polly

Actually it was a swap. Each person only had to come up with 3 reds w/white and 3 whites w/red! It was amazing at the time.....we only had two duplicates!

Lovely work Alice. I love the "mistake" in particular!

What a treat Alice! Your Scrap Attack looks like it was loads of fun to make. :-) Love the wreath too. And I must admit that I'm puzzled by Saved a Mistake, because it looks perfect to me.

Oooooooh I love your feathers. I'm trying hard but just can't seem to get the hang of flowing from one feather to the next. Or making the first one really well. Or... you get it. And I think that fall wreath is the best. I have a perfect spot for it in my living room ....you've got time to make another and send it right on up by fall.

The mistake was that the pieces were supposed to make two 12 inch blocks. Somehow, the directions had a mistake, and the half-square triangles weren't square. I hated to throw out all those "good" pieces, so I cut them down into smaller squares and sewed them together into a table topper. I gave it to my d-i-l, and she thinks it looks more like "wall art"!

The method I used (new to me) was to start the feather at the bottom, and go side to side....not down one side and back the other. It seems much easier, and I'm hoping to progress further with practice.

Please read my previous post about the time involved in that wreath!!! Those little half-square triangles are only 1/2 inch! I saw it at a Quilt Show and just had to make it!

I would definitely put it in a frame. Those little half-square triangles *are* tiny; but the result is so worth it. After all, you don't have to do too many of these in a lifetime! . In message , Alice in PA writes

Hi Alice,

I agree with your DIL. :-)

Great save! I'm like you, can't bear to throw anything out that might have possibility.....
