WH Binding? A little long.

Some of you may remember the Dragonflies wh I needle turned .I started it whilst over in Virginia a couple of years ago. I asked if you had any ideas for quilting and took up some of your suggestions for it. I have now finished it (I think) It has a fine organza over it with invisifil swirls and tiny Dragonflies at the top. Silver fm on the wings. My 1st question is do I bind it with black/Purple. Also you might remember I was asking for Colour song titles for our group challenge this year. Question 2 . Do you think this could be entered under maybe "Purple Haze"?? It is in my webshots. The 1st 2 are quilted. Thankyou for looking.

Estelle, I can't help with the song, but I do like your quilt very much! I'd bind it in purple -- you don't want something to detract from the center in this case, and I think the black would be so strong as to do just that.

Can't help you with your question, but oh, my. I just had to say those are some of the most beautiful quilts I've ever seen.

Lovely, lovely. You did a great job on this! I would bind it in purple so as not to draw the eye away from the light center where the "dragons" are flying. As to the name, I don't see why not. The Purple Haze days are long gone, and so is the talented Jimi. It would not seem to me to be stealing the name, but rather a compliment to him to use the name.

Thankyou all. I will use purple for the bindng. It is a little slippery with the sheer on the front, so i will break my rule and tack it 1st before I put it on the sm.!
