What Fabric Is It?

While on a trip to the Amish country in Pennsylvania I saw a wonderful fabric that was all cotton but looked and felt like suede.

Now I cannot remember the name of this great stuff.

Does anyone know what this is? If so - do you know where I can find it (other than the shop where I saw it and passed it up)?

Thanks!

Thanks Louise - I was desperately trying to remember: knew it began with 'C'! Isn't it beautiful, Linda? >g< It was the only fabric that I bought seriously when I was in Paducah. I have been waiting years, but it is the fabric I am going to use when I make the centre quilt of the set of quilts that I have drawn - ready to do - from photographs of Bristol Cathedral's sanctuary floor. I fell in love with it - and its colours - immediately. . In message , Louise in Iowa writes

OOOO -- DH and I will be going to Washington, DC and then on to Hershey, PA later this month. I plan on spending a LOT of time in the Amish towns of Lancaster County so PLEASE tell me where you saw this fabric. I need to have a look see -- it might tempt me to buy a bit :-). CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Yes, Cherrywoods are one of my favorites. I've finally quit drooling on the vendor booth when I'm at the AQS show. I guess after a few years you can become calmer about it. That doesn't mean I IGNORE them though!!! Just not drooling anymore....it was getting to be embarassing. I'm sewing a binding on a small quilt I made from Cherrywoods....I'll try to post a pic in the next few days. I'm sewing bindings on 4 quilts (all small) this week!!! Three of which have been UFO's for quite some time....the other was started on Monday night and finished by Wednesday noon. Cherrywoods are yummy yummy yummy.

Let me add to the tempting Mary. It is just lovely. To look at it you would think it was leather/sued, and then you touch it and it is cotton. And the colours - jewels? Yum!! . In message , Tia Mary writes
