Spring has sprung in Missouri- very suddenly! I'll be outside playing in the dirt (accompanied by many flowers and veggies!) for the next 6 months! ;-)

(Well, when I'm not vacuuming up after after three big hairy dogs who are vigorously shedding.....)

The pollen is terrible here in central l Florida and with it all, I have pneumonia. So I am not doing anything but watching TV, reading newsgroups, and wishing I was able to do almost ANYTHING! I'm going nuts! Barbara in Florida

Spring keeps trying to start then it disappears again! 2 weeks ago heating was off, didn't bother lighting the fire, but last night they were all go again! I think that I am correct in thinking that it has been the wettest winter here for 40 years, not so much cold, but wet and damp. I want/need to do some work in the garden, but with wet clay soil it is hard going!

Lucky you to be getting spring! It sounds like there is another winter storm heading for Minnesota. :-(

We had an interesting speaker at our guild meeting yesterday. Sue Heinz from the Twin Cities area gave us lots of tips for using Elmer's White School Glue in our quilting.

Well, spring in MO has it's downsides. We are forecast for severe weather and possible large hail tomorrow. It's tornado and wild weather season along with spring! ;-)

DH grew up in KC and says spring only lasts 2 weeks there. You and the gang stay safe! Taria

We were on the road for 3 days, arriving Wednesday to cold weather. DH had to do all the unpacking of the van, since I'm having knee problems. Went grocery shopping yesterday, and woke up to freezing rain this morning. The trees and roofs were all covered with a thin layer of ice! It is still raining, and the temperature is slowly rising. We were lucky that there wasn't strong winds, but each movement of the trees makes the ice crack! I hope to get the rest of my quilting stuff unpacked today, and maybe even do some sewing! I've been working on some 1/2 inch hexagons EPP - basting them on the trip north.

I lurk when I have time, which isn't often.. we're in the middle of moving (just 7 miles away but it's still a nuisance. I have way too much fabric.) I have fond memories of RCTQ from many years ago for whatever that is wo rth. Somewhere I have photos from a 1999 RCTQ meetup in San Diego that I at tended. After we get moved, I'm going to have a sewing room again, lookin g forward to that. :)

Jeez, Holly! If you want to send me some of that fabric that's holding you back, you can send it to me! I will give it a new home and you won't have to worry about moving it!!! :)
