Also at the same site, another link to another one called Lakota Buffalo Star.

It appears that there is a "native american" style that features that motif. Kind of interesting, and unusual.

Somebody brought it up in the Carol Doak Yahoo Quilting Group. I'm impatient for an answer. (Hey, I'm on track break and AWAKE enough to be impatient!) Even Carol didn't know. I Googled and got nothing. Searched in my EQ block libraries and got Buffalo Ridge.

I put it at

Actually, John, I have no idea what I am looking for. Someone wanted Carol Doak to make a paper-piecing pattern for a Buffalo Star.

These are great links! I've seen the Lakota Star with the eagle before. Maybe in a children's book in our school library.

Thanks, Kay Ahr in NV

Thank you, Monique. I tried really hard to abstain from "what's a Buffalo Star look like?". I'm so glad that you climbed in and answered. I know that Kay will forgive us that we thought her question was just like waving a flag in front of . . . well, a buffalo. Polly
