It is! I finally got the group back after it was missing in action for a day. Don't know what happened but I hope it's over!
I did some quilty stuff today.......sorted projects to get them ready for my stitch groups annual retreat to Bodega Bay for a week. It all happens in a month but it's never too soon to get ready! I'm doing a placemat project for everyone and I started putting mine together so I can demonstrate. I will get back to my quilting frame tomorrow........

I put new quilting pictures up on webshots, thumbed through several quilting books, and generally rested my back. Right now I am checking an old clip art CD for possible applique block design uses. Debra in VA See my quilts at
No kidding! Me personally, I was watching a Charlie Chan DVD (for devotees, Volumes 1 and 2 starring Warner Oland are available now---restored and very good quality) but had to check in on my favorite people before going to bed. I think we'll see more action on this NG on the weekend.
I'm here!! Really - at least I think I am....

Yes but I can do that sitting down admirably! As I tell my kids as i'm trotting for the go-kart trolleys after a race - "I don't *run* for anybody". 't ain't a pretty picture! But dancin'? Well that's a whole nother story.
I was busy celebrating my 71st birthday yesterday. Before that I have been planning and I am making all the wedding stationery for my granddaughters wedding. Also planning her wedding cake. I also started a Digital imaging class yesterday. Another bonus for that is I have been told I can use one of their large tables at the centre to baste my quilt together. I finished the top before Christmas. So back to the time consuming pursuits. Shirley

I got to take my DS for his 3rd swimming lesson and got drenched on the way home. I don't have a car so do everything on my bicycle and fortunately I have a kiddiecar trailer on my bike where the kids sit in where they are warm and dry :-) so in the bit where it rained so hard the water ran down my legs inside my jeans and into my boots I could keep telling myself at least the kids are dry, at least the kids are dry and as the wind was storm force I was knackered when I got home and zonked out on the sofa after the kids were in bed (good thing my sofa is a comfy one that doesn't cause back problems from sleeping on it)
Howdy!
Happy Birthday, Shirley!
71? Means you should celebrate for at least a week...2 weeks... ah, go for a month! ;-D Good luck on the quilt basting. Birthday cake before and after is a must!Cheers and hugs, Ragmop/Sandy
