Where is everybody?

Seems like there just haven't been as many messages the last couple of days as usual, and now I've run out of messages to read. :-( Debra in VA See my quilts at

Wow, I think there has been lots, no? Maybe it is just that we don't have any very hot discussions going on, and so threads are lighter than usual.

Personally, if I don't keep up at least every 3 days, I just skip - there is just no way I can catch up if I lose a week :-)

yes, thought that too, but blamed it on my newsgroup-server. But I'm chattier than usual, don't you think ??? 3 or 4 posts in only

2 days, that's a lot for me. So it's not my fault :-)))) Heidi from Germany

I think, with warmer weather here, some people are traveling and whatnot....lucky me, no travel in our future - at least not for a while.

Have to check cal. to see if there is even any time for travel - supposed to go to NY with DH when he has to teach a class, but that really won't be much of a vacation.

I have spent the last five days fixing my computer, so that's my excuse. Funny thing is, when you find the solution it seems so simple you wonder what all the fuss was about. Just one missing piece of information, and it all fell into place. Thanks again, John.

Other than that, I have put the binding on a couple quilts, finished and mailed the current mini row robin I had, cut the borders for my very first applique top, which will go on today, and am steadily moving forward on my Starflake project.

Maybe that is the reason for less messages.

I can usually catch up on 3 days, but a whole week is usually way too much to read. Debra in VA See my quilts at

I don't think it's our servers. Just less people writing messages and maybe the usual chatty folks have gone quiet. It sure makes us less chatty folks post more messages, doesn't it? Debra in VA See my quilts at

Ha! Too funny, Larisa!

It's been too hot here. I've been staying inside with my new computer.

I've got a new computer. Surprisingly everything works alright. I have to move some info from the old one to the new one but that shouldn't take long.

I've been working on the rctq BOM. I've got a week before I start my new job so I want the june block done by then and I have to shop for new pants. I really hate shopping for clothes, but I gotta. No blue colored jeans allowed. :-( Debra in VA See my quilts at

I get about 150 posts daily - is this what you mean by less?

150 a day, I only get 40 to 50. Wonder where they go..?

Hmmm - I got 40 just in the time I posted about 150 a day. This morning I had 53 and I was up until 12:00 last night and read them all before going to bed.

I'm getting far less. Say in the 30-40 post range, and after weeding out the spam related stuff, and things I'm not interested in, there are only about ten good posts left to actually download and read now. Usually there is a lot more good stuff to read. Debra in VA See my quilts at

I read all at midnight and had only about 20 new posts to download at

8am, and much of that was spam related. Since then there have been about another 40 new ones, several of which were posted by me.

Sorry Deb, I've been that busy at work I haven't had time to scratch. And this weekend DH decided it was time to give the lil old (3.5 x 2.5 metre) go kart trailer a clean. Yik! Don't want to do that again in a while.
