states embroidery designs

My computer crashed and I lost some of my designs that I didn't have backup on. Does anyone know the embroidery site that has the free state outlines that have something in the middle of the state on it? I had all of them done except about 10 states. Right know I am broken hearted over it. please please please help. I have been looking everywhere for it. Sorry I had to vent on you guys. dreamboat

I need more info to be able to help you:

Would those be in a graphic file such as .jpg or Adobe Acrobat .pdf for hand embroidery, or a computerized sewing machine file?

The stuff in the middle--is it the usual state bird and flower, or major landmarks like Mt Rushmore and Old Faithful at Yosemite, or what the state is known for like oil wells in TX, Wisconsin cheese, Idaho potatoes, etc? Debra in VA See my quilts at

My daughter and I were sitting here talking and she tried to reboot my computer and the screen went all blue. She works on my computer and hers too. She used to recovery disc to try to retrieve my design files but it wouldn't work. She finally got it going again but lost all my files. Now it only has the files in it when I got the computer. But we don't know how long it will last so the hard drive may be going out. I have another computer to use. It is the one I am using now. It is an older computer. It comes in handy to have another computer. All together I have 4 computers. Right now

The blue screen is known as "the blue screen of death" by computer geeks. BTDT many a time. Sometimes it is a minor computer problem and sometimes it is major.

I have some pages of links to machine embroidery sites. Maybe looking down the lists will jog your memory.

I live with a computer professional, he recommends that one unplug the machine, then wait five minutes, plug it back in, and turn it back on. This exercise usually fixes the problem. He was working the help desk and had a person on the phone one day and told them to reboot their computer, he was very surprised when it took them only 15 seconds to reboot. He said that he had to see how they had done that, so he asked their location and went to see! To reboot the computer they had turned off the monitor and turned it back on. He showed them that rebooting means that you turn the computer off and then back on. He and his fellow techs laughed the rest of the day.

Too funny Bonnie! Sadly, I realize there are many people out there doing the same thing. Debra in VA See my quilts at
