Some inventions have changed our quilting lives for the good, such as fusible webbing. When there came a time that I was running out of it, I was saved by the coupon that showed up on the computer that offered 50 percent off any single item. I really didn't need anything, or so I told myself, but as we had donated several quilts to a homeless shelter for Christmas, I decided they needed to be replaced, and then I remembered I did need something and that it might help me come up with a new project, and it did.
