A good cry

Jul 03, 2006 9 Replies

I just got through having a good cry. I was going through some things in a drawer that I haven't been through in years and I came across two answering machine tapes from an old machine I used to have. Well something (curiosity perhaps) told me to put them in my mini tape recorder and play back the messages.

The first one was from my boy (he passed away seven years ago at the age of 12) I played that over and over and over just to hear his voice. If any of you have lost a child or anyone for that matter you know this was a gift. Then after that was a message from my mom who passed away three years ago. What a gift! I should have cleaned that old drawer out much sooner. It's in the basement (outta site outta mind). I will cherish this tape always.

Well just thought I would share. Have a great week. Michelle P.

Ahhh Michelle what a precious find! I'm so glad you found them.

Hugs, Lynne

What a great find! What a special present for you to get today.

That is really a great find to have and to cherish!!ou may think about recording them n cd or something more durable though as tapes over time really depreciate. (??)

What a great find! I agree with Dave you should back up the tape on CD so that you will always have it to cherish.

What a joy you have found today. This makes me think that maybe I should get out that video camera again and do some videos of my kids. Since I've been scrapbooking I don't use it any more. Sometimes scrapbooking does get what that video camera can do.

Hugs.

Yes that's a good idea. My guy said he has a special cord that will connect the computer to the tape recorder and he can burn a disk for me! I can play this any time I want. This was so special especially to find this month. My boy would be twenty years old on the 26th. He was my only child.

Well have a nice, safe weekend. Michelle P.
