Maybe your in-laws will know what's close to their residence from this list (Surrey, Coquitlam ?? - not sure exactly how far these communities are from Abbotsford).
Of course, there is a Michael's at: MICHAEL'S THE ARTS & CRAFTS STORE

Hello, Surrey's about a half an hour away from Abbotsford, Coquitlam is on the other side of the river not really too close. Mission is about 15 minutes away. I go to Abbotsford quite often but never checked out Scrapbooking stores.
My parents and one sister live in Abbotsford. I LOVE it there! I have another sister in Mission which is a hop skip and a jump from Abbostsford. What I like about Abbotsford is, it's close to everything, unless it's during rush hour traffic. LOL
