all day scrapbook retreat..

I went yesterday morning to an all day in store scrapbook retreat in Amarillo. Started at 10am and finished at midnight. It started out slow and again no one talking unless they were in groups. The lady that sat across from me at the moment had looked familiar but as we talked I remebered her from a previous crop. We talked and joked the rest of the day. There were drawings all day for door prizes. I didn't win any. Also they had bluelight specials during the day. We had to write our name on one paper and what we wanted as a special on another paper. We got 35% off stamping products(which I had enuf!)- I bought one little 99c stamp. Next bluelight was something off paper and i got several papers that glittered. The bluelight on storage I didn't need anything so i cropped. We had chicken salad sanwiches for lunch and white chicken chili and reg. chili for supper. Snacks all day and all the sodas you wanna drink too. The lady across the table from me and I played a joke on the bluelight caller. We removed all the papers in the bucket and replaced them with papers saying "one free item". wrote different ways and different inks. a few mixed in said we love you and merry Christmas and syke. We were all laughing so hard. She blamed a group of 4 girls across the room for doing it. She gave everyone a free piece of paper!. Last call for the night we talked about it as it was the last retreat for the year. She ended up giving us "ANY ITEM" and then pulled from the percentage jar a note of 40%. Good enuf for me. I ran around the corner and got all 4 cartriges from cricut that just came out. I got CARS, TINKERBELL, ELMO, and ELMO ALPHABET. They were marked $99.99. I got them for $59.99. I also got some brads for 40% off. THey were shouting somehting like a $30 minimum, I think I beat that.

Now the biggest thing that happened for the night was..... my chair with no handles and was creaking, BROKE!, i went to the floor and flat on my bottom. at this moment I am still sore. I don't think it is broke but i definatly crakced my crack with crack-lash(whiplash?)!...lol Only hurts to get up, sit down or cough! Other than this was a great 17 pages done!

I had to chuckle April even though I KNOW how badly a "crash-lash" hurts. hahaha You are so funny.

Sounds like you had a great day despite the fall. Thanks for sharing.

I love the Tinkerbell cart. Borrowed it from my DIL and made several fairy heads to use as tags on Christmas gifts. I just put a sprig of holly in their hair to make them look festive.
