Back from Croppin' Train retreat

Our trip was wonderful! Dave and I arrived at 1:30 Friday at the Embassy Suites in Rogers AR. The hotel was HUGE! We had a room on the 6th floor right off the elevator. Room had 2 beds -tv- closet, then a mid section had bathroom-and a kitchenette type with frige, micro, drawers and sink, then living area with computer access desk, couch (with another bed), and tv and lounge chair. Quite big if you ask me. Then we got meals included. Hotel served everyone Breakfast with made to order omlets and waffles. Croppers got lasanga Friday night, deli sandwiches Sat lunch, and chicken fajitas Sat supper. Tea and water were supplied and I brought my own sodas. Dave had all his scrappin' stuff and I had 3 rolling totes for myself. My camera went out so I used Dave's for the remainder of our time there. There were over 40 gals there Dave was the only guy. From his reactions he was loving it. The cropping area was huge too. There was a shopping spot to buy things, and there was a tool area to borrow tools if needed. They did a few demos also. Really nice ladies. There were games, door prizes, tickets for drawings were given for doing layouts, having the balloon at bell time, entering layout contests. I had several tickets because i stayed up till 3 am the first night and as people went to bed the competition for the balloon dwindled and I got lots of tickets. I entered drawings for several items they had out. This crop event was really worth it. They even gave out 2 grand prizes... one was come back again for free. $215 for all this excitement was well worth it!!!! Dave drove back to OKC and I slept most of the way. Then I got home at 11:30 beacuse I had to stop off at walmart and get a few things.

Only one thing really erqued us....internet was wireless but was $9.95 for

24 hours. Buisness center computers were free but no access to facebook nor myspace for sure.

I finished about 24 layouts and Dave did 5 or more. He did more work on his, tiny stuff.

So next time there is a retreat... maybe we all can meet for this one!!!.... Next one is in NOVEMBER sometime.

They have a tentative Date on their website saying NOV 6-8th.

If you do plan on coming and you don't drive and want to fly... we can get you at the OKC airport and drive to Rogers (3-4hr drive) all together.

It would be an 8 hour drive for me. I'll have to think about transportation. Part of the crop group here is wanting to go to Cropical Paradise in Paducah, KY this summer. Don't know if I can swing both. It will take some planning. Sandy
