I made it back from Daves...

Well got there a day early and stayed at the hotel and swam and such. The next morning (before NOON, DAVE!!) went over therre and he was out piddeling in his shed. (sorta like my hubby does for hours in our barn!). We went inside and Zen was having a bad day. She was so fussy once we left the hotel all the way until we got back . She went right to sleep for 2-3 hours on the bed . We woke her up to give her a bath and one hour of play and back to sleep for the night she went. Well anyway we went to the mall to get my chocolate mountain apples I always get. Then off to TED's to eat again. Going to try a different place next time...one that Dave mentioned we should. My son was acting very hard headed cause we wouldn't buy him a pair of 17 pocketed, green chained, green grometed, bell bottom black ugly gross pants from "hot topic" store. He already has in an earring and won't remove it out of respect for me. He just got snotty and rude to me in front of Dave so we left. At the restuarant he wouldn't eat and then partly tended to Zen while he was in the truck. We left the restaurant and went back to a store that I eyed at a stoplight. The store had lots of invtations and specialty papers. Dave gathered his share up!!!.lol..... I had so much fun teasing him the whole day too. Would have went to something special that night but son ruined it for us. teenagers!...humph^%!&* other then son I had a great time. Of course I always have fun spending money!...lol

Sounds like a great trip, with the exception of the teenager acting like a teen! LOL I hate that store "Hot Topic"!! DS #2 loves it. Though I won't buy him anything from it! Take heart April, the awful, horrible teen years don't last forever! DS#1 is turning into a very fine, respectful young man. DS#2 is taking up where #1 left off! AHHGRRGGG It will pass then you'll like him again. It's a good thing we will always love 'em, 'cause sometimes it hard to like 'em. Hug Both kids for me.

Glad you had a great time....and got to shop! That's the best part, besides seeing Dave of course! Somehow I don't think any of us are suprised that Dave gathered up his share of paper! LOL He's such a paper floozy!

WAAAAA!!!! I only got to hold Zen about three minutes because she was so fussy. I told April and dh I think it was because it was her first time overnight somewhere and because of that somewhat out of 'her' comfort zone.

Oh well, next time, and I guess I will have to go thee, however most every week in the next month April has to be somewhere else. Wonder where i am going for turkey day this year? We MIGHT have show in southern Cal but like I was to go to Vegas this week, I ain't holding my breath!!

As or the son, I was rather upset at him, not directly, but how he treated his mother and what he sais to her. When I was a kid I would have been eating something!!! That is not to mention what would have happened when I got home!! Anyhow was sorely disappointed we did not get to do more running around that I know April wanted to do.

And if ya'll must know bought most of my pape to use to make envelopes for my cards, so it not like it is going into my "collection!"

Unfortunately, no can do at Thanksgiving as we have to go to North Carolina. We normally stay home but haven't seen our niece yet, need to meet our future BIL before the wedding and need to go see MIL since we haven't since last Xmas and she's been through a lot with Katrina. This weekend (I'm in Joplin, MO. The following weekend I'm in Rogers and the weekend after that we're in DC for the Law School meat market. However if you guys find a weekend that we all have in common, I'll be very, very happy to put you up!

Speaking of Washington, Rick has two interviews, one with Washburn in Topeka, Kansas and the other with South Texas College of Law in Houston. If neither of those work out, it's back to St. Pete in July, which would be a terrible thing for Rick, so please keep your fingers and toes crossed and think positive thoughts and/or say a prayer! Personally of the three posibilities I'd prefer Houston since I like to travel and it's a lot easier and cheaper out of Houston, plus my osteoarthritis really does not like cold weather. In addition Rick lived in Houston when we met and he is licenced to practice in Houston, so it would be an easier transition for him. Hey, I can even go and bug Tammy from time to time!

:::sending good thoughts that next year you'll be in Houston:::

Have fun in DC! That's "home" for me (well, where I grew up, anyway) & I'll be there for the December holidays.

April, sounds like a great trip even with the teen antics. LOL I found taking my teen aged children far more stressful than taking them as babies. Glad to hear Dave is not running short of paper! My ,what would we do ? I guess we would have to send Care packages of paper to him!

M-C, I will keep Rick in my daily petitions and hope for the very best possible results. Tell him we are all pulling for him! and we are a very loud contingent !

Unfortunately they did even ask Rick to interview! So that's a no go!
