Annie Lange Paper Piecing Pattern Book

I was wondering for those of you that have that book or have patterns from this book how you do the hair and the strings that are attatched to certain things? I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. They give you the pattern for this thin hair etc but sure you could trace it onto the paper but how would you cut it out is my question. ... Thanks for any help you may have.

Tabitha, I use wire. If you want to curl the wire you just wind it around a penciltip. Hugs

I use an exacto knofe and a glass mat to cut it all out. You can get as detailed as it gets, and even cut things out in the middles. For really fine lines, I put the PP down on the page then draw lines with a pen. Which pattern are you talking about? Soni

There are a lot in the book that goes with what I'm saying :) Any of the bugs with antennas, or the children with hair, and the snowmen with the scarves, the moon with the stars hanging down.. A lot of them are just really really thin. I was thinking that after you get the PP together and get it on the page you wanted you could draw the lines that needed to be there but what if you wanted to make one for someone.. That's where I'm stuck :) If you need page numbers I can give them to you... but its half the book LOL :)

I don't have a copy of the book, so I'm using my imagination here...but could you just cut those parts of the pattern off and replace them with actual strings, or wire, or bits of fiber? That way you wouldn't lose your eyesight and develop carpal tunnel trying to cut those fine bits, and it might look even cooler.
