Another digi LO uploaded today

I loved your digi pages! They were very pretty! I have a question(or two)!! I probably sound a little silly here, but..... HOW do you digi scrap? Do you have a special program for your 'puter for all of the backgrounds and embellishments? I imagine you scan the pictures or upload them from a digital camera? I am really curious! OH..do you print it off and put it in a scrapbook, or leave it in an online album? sorry for all the questions! This is new to me! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Linda C

Linda....the only silly question is the one that is never asked! Digital scrapping is not very different from traditional scrapping, except you work on the computer in a graphics programme. You use your scanned or digital photos, a graphics programme that works with layers, and your imagination...LOL I sent a link through the other day to the best digital scrapbooking site I have come across to date but there are several more...some good..some not so exciting :o) Here is the link again :

They seem to run classes there but you can use the tutorials page to learn everything you need to start you off. They go through the various programmes that are suitable, printing your digital LO's, etc.....there really is nothing difficult about it. Once you start to learn things move along pretty fast. In the album you looked at there is a Day at the Beach LO that I have printed out as a picture and mounted on 12 x 12. There is another LO that I have printed my pictures and the background paper and scrapped as normal...altering to accommodate the printer limitations. Both ways look nice in IRL and since one is for DD album and one for mine I saw little point in doing two identical LO's. She will eventually fall heir to my albums anyway!

There are scrapbooking programmes available but I can't tell you anything about them, as I have never used any. If they are anything like the card-making or other single-use programmes I have seen I would quickly get bored with the inflexibility of them. The digital LO backgrounds and elements you have looked at are all generated in my graphics package, except the photos of course. You should give it a go...I am sure that if I can do it anyone can :o) I am happy to help where I can!
