Attn Flasses: What to do with your excess..........

OK.......we are flasses but that doesn't mean that we USE everything we buy. I am still holding the scrapbox hostage because it needs a major overhaul. Some of the stuff that is in there has been there for a long time and needs to be pulled out....at least for a while.

If you have new/like new items that you will not use.....would you please consider sending a donation of stuff to the scrapbox? Please! I had hoped to get through all of my own stuff long before now but haven't been able to do it and probably won't be able to until Nov sometime. Meanwhile...here the box sits.

For those of you that don't know about the scrap box.......it is a box of scrapbook supplies that travels from person to person. I am the current "Mom" of the box. As soon as I get some great stuff for the box, I'll be putting out another call. Donations should be new or like new condition (do not buy things for the box...donate from what you have on hand). No partial sheets of stickers and no bent or torn paper, etc.

I want to assure all of you that this is NOT a solicitation for supplies that will be kept by me. I don't operate that way. Thanks for your consideration! If you have a donation, please email me privately and I will provide my mailing address.

Susan, I am sure that some of our Flasses will be able to help. I can vouch for Susan W that she is not trying to collect for herself.

I'll be more than happy to contribute.

Thanks MC! I know there are quite a few ladies/gents on the group that know I have been around the group a long time and have been handling the box. The problem is they don't REALLY know ME. It sure helps to have someone speak up to let the others know I'm legitimate in my request.

Thank you too for offering to send a donation. The scrapbox, those that get to participate once it goes back on the road and I all thank you! S

More than likely, I've got something (or some THINGS) in my stash I can send you to add to the box. I just have to unpack them first. I was a terrible FLASS and packed my scrapbooking stuff 2 or 3 weeks ago. Actually, I was trying to keep myself focused on packing! So once we get moved and I can get to my scrapbooking supplies, I'll see what I've got. I know there's got to be something in there that I can let go of!!! :-)

Thanks for the offer Deb! Will look forward to the scrapbox care package when you get the chance to pull it together. I spent literally 2 hours going through fiber and embellishments last night and I didn't even finish going through that stuff let alone paper to donate to the box. DH is at an unexpected meeting tonight and DD is at practice..........now I'm getting off the group so I can cull through some more stuff! S

If I'm allowed to be in she box swap. I've think I've finally been posting for 6 months. I surely can find some things to donate to you for the start of the box. Just let me know.

I don't see why you won't be able to join the swap when a call is posted. Right now I am only trying to "beef up" or "Refresh" the supplies that are currently in there because some of the items have been in there forever and my thought is that if they haven't been taken by now, it's a good possibility that noone wants them. My plan is to pull out stuff like that, put it in a box and hold onto it for another round sometime. Kind of like rotating toys for the kids.

I just don't want anyone to think that by donating at this time that it automatically signs them up. Also, by making a donation now, it does not mean that when you do get to go through the box that you won't need to "swap" items as is the protocal of the swap.

Hope this helps! S

Susan, I am sure I can spare a piece of paper or maybe 2...

As for her integrity, I have to tell y'all this. Susan knows how much I weigh! My husband doesn't even know that!!!

I donate it or give it to family members starting to scrapbook. I do use it for the scrapbox sometimes too.
