Baby Shower book

I've started "working" on my baby shower book. Its actually an idea that I scrap lifted from Paper Crafts March 2004 issue that I got off Jean a while ago... Glad I did, as it has a TON of baby themed ideas! The idea I scrap lifted was "The Little Book of Baby Advice for the New Mom." The idea I have floating in my head is to do a 2 page layout for each person that attends my shower this weekend. I have printed out a piece of paper (about a 4x6 or so) with lines on it, cut it out so theres scrap paper around it, and I'm going to have everyone write out a piece of advice, or wisdom or even a wish for the baby on it, and then when I get the time, I will mat it and adhere it to the page. The notebook I am using is a 10x10. On page one of each layout is a picture of the guest, and a picture of their gift after I have opened it, on page two is the sheet decorated with the wrapping paper, gift ribbon or even the card I rec'd from them. I have all these creative ideas running through my head and I cant even explain it to myself! I'm so excited for my shower this weekend. I dont even know if I'll have time to scrap afterwards! I've been going through my nesting phase, even though I have about 10 weeks or so left. Poor DH is scared. I start cleaning and he just doesnt know whether to check my temperature or to take a picture to share with my family. I HATE to clean, and here I am being obsessive about it! I'm even starting to scare myself!

Are you sure about the 10 weeks. When I start power cleaning toward the end my DH just took the bags out to the van to be ready. I was always a middle of the nighter... Your ideas are wonderful. Be sure to enlist the help of someone to act as the photographer and get all of the pics you will need. You will be too busy with the gifts and talking to everyone. It wiould be great if you were in the pic with your guest even if just in the background - it would tie each LO together. thanks for sharing Sandy

Those are some great ideas Lacey! Gee, too bad I can't go back in time and do that with my two kiddos. LOL (No, I'm not going to have another baby just so I can scrap lift these ideas!) I really like the idea of using the wrapping paper as the background...very ingenious! Just tell DH to help you out with the cleaning and what-not so you won't nest so much. LOL :-)

My mom told me to quit nesting... I think it started to scare her too, and she knows how much I hate to clean... I am "forcing" DH to go to the shower to take pictures with the digital camera my mom got us for Christmas, especially since I went out and bought a bigger memory card for it.

As far as the 10 weeks, I'm pretty sure I have more, but I am at 30 weeks (as of this past Saturday) My grandma and my mom both went into labor in the middle of the night... Grandma with both my uncle and mom and mom with just me.

Ok, call me weird or what you like. But, when I click on the link to see your baby shower book I get a picture of a cute kitten laying on someone's leg. I clicked on it several times and thats all I get. I'll try again later.

Yeah I was wondering if it was just me.

That looks so much better than the kitty. But, it was a very cute kitty. :-)

Very nice book. The cat was cute too but I enjoyed your book more. LOL! Thanks for sharing.

The cat was hugable, the book isn't, and I'm not sure which is craftier. But the book looks great! Well then so does the cat.. hmmm great job on creating the book! ::::mumbling to self...I guess she didn't create the cat:::::

M-C feeling a little wacky this morning!

I could see the glint in the cat's eye. It was waiting for that leg to wiggle so it could claw it. hehe My parents had one of those oh so sweet naughty kitties. My son then 3 called it the "Mad Bad Kitty." We laughed and so it was nicknamed.

Your idea for your baby shower sounds great and the album looks great too.. Thanks for sharing.

Now i see it!!(LOL)

Very sweet! & what a great idea!:>) I just did one last week for my niece. I never thought to include the shower though, I just did a page for each of the first 12 months.

I'll have to get it back from her so I can scan it! I'm getting so slack in the scanning department!:>(

She loved it though, & that's the main thing:>)
