back from crop....

well It was me, and Amy from RCS... and my friend Heather, and Amy's friend whom I can't remember her name (I'm so bad at names... people should be required to wear nametags all the time, but I'd remember her face.. :D)

I got 3 2 page spreads done... not alot for a long crop but I helped Amy's friend out (she will get it, she is new to this.. :D) Jawed a bunch with Amy and Heather... spent money at the LSS (get this, got a PURPLE scutto bag... I HAD a black one... well someone offered to sell me their NEW STILL WITH TAGS one for 60 bux and I sold my black one at the crop for 55... so for 5 bux I got the one I really wanted! LOLOL (now Heather is mad because she was the only one with a purple one).. HA! IT's SO PURDY! I will have to put up a new gallery... MC, I've removed my stuff from ScrapSupply. I'll give you an updated link then.. :D I'm also minimizing my online presence (not from here tho) because I havem more "real world" stuff to get done.. :D WOOT!

I gave everyone a big bag of fibers (yup a BIG baggie stuffed full)... and Gave Amy her "award" for winning a 1st place spot in a competition, and she gave me YUMMY MM charms that I'd never seen before! (and I thought I'd seen everything MM too.... they are endless aren't they?) She gave me this beautiful ceramic cross too as a "housewarming" present! What she didn't know is, I collect crosses... and I have a few grouped on my one wall... this is perfect and the glaze on it matches my pottery too! She hit me nail on the head!

Wait till you see the pictures.. I was having ribbon lust.... and we were being general nuts.. :D

OMG.. have her make her fruit dip.... YUUUUUUMMMMEEEEE....

Okay I gotta sleep now (yes Amy I do that occasionally you smart alek) :D

Well I am soo glad you had fun, sounded like I missed out big-time! But we will make up for it! I will scan in the cropping schedule for the 2 LSS's and then maybe you and I can plan something. I think it would be a blast! You just have to see the new store, they have paper up the wazoo! And the classroom is soo nice, the tables are nice, the chairs are comfy with wheels and they even have cup holder baskets so you can drink and not spill! Oh and they have a tv going, with craft shows, or whatever. Its great! My new favorite place... I think I might call them now..lol GO crop a bit...I need to get out of this house. I feel like a hermit! And my allergies are going nuts from this weirdo weather! yuck...

Well I am glad you had lots of fun! I am still regretting my mishaps and not coming anyhow. But I guess it wasn't meant for me yet! We shall meet soon enough!

we definitely have to get together! Man, too bad you didn't meet Amy.. she is so sweet and a kinda nut (I think that is a mandatory requirement to be a part of RCS).. LOL

OOOO... comfy chairs... that was my only problem last night... they have comfy chairs if your normal sized but I kept sliding out of mine! I should have grabbed a computer chair but didn't think of it till I had numb butt! LOLOL

I gotta save up to come up there.. my favorite paper place is nearby! LOLOLOL HOLLOS!!!!!!!!!!!

Posting at 4:48 AM !!! No wonder you are just waking up at 3 o'clock in the afternoon! :-)

It was a really great time. My friend Mary REALLY appreciated all of Bluejean's help. I didn't do as much gabbing as I should have, but I was very focused on my LOs. I got three done, one is 90% and the other two about 20%. I'd hoped to finish them up on Saturday, but other duties called. I can't wait to get the pictures posted...perhaps tonight while DH is at his oil painting class.

My "award" as Bluejean calls it is a Celtic pendant and green bead earrings that match my dress. She didn't even know my dress was blue, green, and gold. Bluejean made the earrings herself and they are both very pretty. Here is another thank you hug for Bluejean {HUG}!

Yes, the fiber bag was HUGE!! I was over the moon! The ribbon lust picture is a definite gut buster. :-)

I'm glad you liked the fruit dip...I thought it was a disaster because I didn't take the time to mix it properly...more important scrapping things to do! :-) It was the raspberry fruit dip published in Pampered Chef books...yogurt, cream cheese, confectioners sugar. I usually mix the dip until the cream cheese is smooth and well blended. This looked like I added cottage cheese. I only brought it because I had friends at the crop. My friend Mary also brought chips & salsa dip. We thought it would be nice to have something more than just pizza & pop. I know the lady who brought her lean cuisine appreciated the fruit!

Marebear...we missed you!!

Amy I have a recipe for a fruit dip that is so easy...just plain yogurt and a family sized strawberry-banana packet of sugar free jello. Just pour the powdered jello intothe yogurt and mix and chill. Cut up favorite fruit and dip away. Deelicious!

I think everyone has a fruit dip recipe but all are a bit different. Mine is one block of softened cream cheese, one jar/tub of marshmallow cream, splash of vanilla and a splash of orange juice, mix well and chill.

Both sound delicious. With my hetic schedule (daycare, two kids, soccer, scrapbook club, museum work) I find it easiest to just call the grocery store and pick up a large fruit tray on my way to a meeting or reunion, Everybody loves it and after all this time it is expected of me. This way I can personalize it by making my own dip instead of just purchasing a tub of ready made. Thanks for the recipes. Sandy
