New beads and new bracelet set (links)

A friend ordered a couple of bracelets from me. She wanted one for herself, and one for a Christmas gift for her s-i-l. While she was going through my beads, she looked at my purple maze beads and said, "I'd like to see what these look like in a bracelet." Well, I'd been meaning to make some into a bracelet for a while, so I guess she gave me the little nudge that I needed. When I showed it to her, she wanted that bracelet too! Then I decided to make another one and some earrings to match:

Also, someone asked me for some yellow labs. Her labs are a very light ivory, almost white, so I didn't use the yellow ochre that I usually use, and used ivory instead. Unfortunately, the one that's lying down had an up close and personal meeting with the ceramic tile floor, and his tail broke, so I need to do him over, but here they are:

I really like the bracelet. Very nice colors. The labs are too cute.

Jerri -- when I saw those on auction, I thought "bracelet" also. You did a fabulous job with them!

Lol! I've had a couple of lab/mixes that were very smart. Gotta wonder about some of those purebreds. I think the brains were bred right out of them! My neighbors have a purebred lab, who's gorgeous, but has a one track mind. He just wants to fetch. I take care of him, when they go out of town, and he's a great dog, but just follows you continuously, waiting for the the next throw. I feel like he doesn't hear a word I say, or see the squirrel that runs out in front of him, or anything else. He just watches for that next throw.

LOL! Golden Retrievers are like that, too. and most of the working class dogs.

I agree on that - the pure labs are "fetch fetch fetch" My friend who has the super amazing dog -- has a Mutt - he's 90% black - and looks like he must have Lab in him. I've never seen a dog that knows so many words of the English language - each toy he owns has a different name - and he will bring the one described. If you tell him to "squeak" a squeaker toy- - he will put it on the floor and push it until it squeaks...... He has so many tricks.... he's entertaining! LOL His owner communicates with him constantly.... I suppose most is just tons of "rote" training - but it makes him seem almost human when you talk to him. Because he gives such "REAL" response to you...

]Labs make good seeing eye dogs, so some are quite smart indeed. (And ]goal-oriented, yeah....)

my brother was telling me the organizations now are crossing Labs with Goldens - they tend to get the calming effect of the Labs and the lack of coat problems.
