Christmas goodies.

maybe i missed the posts while i was gone, but what did everyone get for christmas???

i got my Cricut, a pumpkin candle from bath and body works, a pumpkin oil burner from there also. a large blush brush with powder in it, the huge embellishment pack from costco, old navy and pier 1 gift cards, a Rival crockpot with little dipper, and a set of Kitchen Aid utensils. the utensils were to kevin but they are my favorite color red so i stole them. my mom got them as a joke for kevin because he's also a chef and she's so intimidated when he comes to visit. i made her feel better though and told her his favorite meal is top ramen. so what did everyone else get?? anything unexpected??

I got a huge 18 qt. roaster. I have borrowed one for the last two years for Homecoming float building, and DH decided I needed my own! I was very surprised with it. My dad got my sisters and I t-shirts that he had made with lettering on them. They read on the front, "I am the favorite daughter" and on the back it says "Mom liked me best". Its an ongoing joke with us that we are the "favorite".Dad is too funny! I got a few clothes, pjs, slippers, a couple of CD's and some candles, a gift card to Hobby Lobby, and of course my SS gifts and the "Secret Turkeys" gift I was surprised with! Linda

I keep a notebook where I record the presents as they are unwrapped. This year on my page there were three entries in a row that were pretty funny:

Paper from James Paper from Mom Paper from Stephen

They've been getting the message that I like paper! :-)

Also, my sister gave me a roll of adhesive-backed fabric (a beautiful green Morris print) that is going to be on all my cards, scrapbook pages, boxes, frames, you-name-it!

My mom gave me an album for scrapping in. My son gave me tubes of beads from Michael's in pretty blues and greens.

So I'll be crafting happily!

I recieved lots of wonderful goodies. My parents gave me a light-scribe DVD burner, with light-scribable CD's & DVD's. The boys gave us a BIG bag of snacks to snack on while watching movies together. I recieved a gift certificate from my brother's family to a LSS, cash from my MIL & FIL, beautiful earrings from my SIL and a 19-inch flat computer monitor from DH.

I used the cash to purchase some items to make me a desk for my computer stuff. (I felt like my back was always to everyone and I didn't like that feeling) I also bought some adhesive refills.

With the gift certificate I bought a bag in which to carry the necessary items back and forth to work, stamp camp, my Mom's, ect. (like 12" cutter, adhesives, scissors, ect.) lots of embellishments, and stuff for altering other things. Still have a little left on it, will save it for when I need some retail therapy! LOL Thanks for asking Anji!

I got about 15 paper packs from DH. (He was a goody hubby this year. LOL) Almost 1500 pieces of paper, total. Plus a Fiskars rotary cutter, refill blades for my paper cutter, the big Fastenator with several packages of staple for it. DH also got me a couple new PC games, a Starbucks card (WOOHOO!), 3 small packages of flavored coffee, a Sudoku book, a crossword book, a Nicole C. Mullen CD, and a pair of microfiber slippers....very comfy!

From my Mom & Dad, a baking book, and a jar of spiced tea with a gold looking spoon that came from my great-aunt.

From my sister, a cake book called (The Cake Bible...goes along with "The Cookie Bible" she gave me last year), and a set of clip-art (for scrapping) type books with CD's.

From my SS Barb, marshmallow candy for the kids, Sasskatoon Berry tea, a magazine called Create & Decorate (a Christmas one with all kinds of Chritmas crafts to make), Heidi Swapp chipboard "girl" words, copper wire, MM pliers (woohoo! more tools!), some pretty purple fiber, Around the Block soft charms (Christmas theme), boy and girl Rob & Bob Studio tag stickers, Dress it Up "Dude" bottons, AMM stencil phrases (hadn't seen these before!), 4 packages of 3D stickers, a package of cross/Jesus/Bible stickers, a sheet of Carolees ScrapACard, a package of Creative Imaginations stickers, a package of snowman rub-ons, a package of gold ABC stickers, 3 packages of Pooh stickers, a My Cat poem, a sheet of Christmas sticker quotes, 2 packages of kids-themed quotes (1 boy and 1 girl), a sheet of spring/flowers themed quotes, and 2 TLC kits.

From our Super Sneaky Secret Santa Dave, a package of bug stickers, a package of scratch and smell stickers, 3 big spools of ribbon, 3 baggies of different shaped confetti, 2 packages of foam squares, a package of metal charms, 2 packages of "Liquid Beadz", a Xyron X refill, a huge roll of glue dots, a Ball Brayer, a package of heritage colors page enhancers, a mini "Summer Memories" album, and a gorgeous postcard of the Last Supper.

MC totally surprised me with a book called "The Girls' Book of Friendship" and a cute candy cane stamp.

All in all, I had a wonderful Christmas with DH, our kiddos, and Digit. We'll be spending the coming weekend with MIL, celebrating Christmas with her.
