What have I missed?

Hi there! I was a member of this group in the mid-90's until my daughter was born in 2000. This group taught me SO much, but now I'm a bit lost.

Are there any links to FAQs as I've forgotten many of the abbreviations, etc.?

I also just started a cross stitch blog and I was hoping to get back up to speed on all the latest things. Thanks in advance for all your help!

Births and illness fires and flame wars

Lots of off topic stuff

Good Books

Happy Dances

And some stitching

So how old is your daughter? Mine is 10 going on 5 or 15 depending on the day. DS is starting to act like a mensch

I'm stitching more lately but seem unable to finish much.

My daughter is 8 and sounds like your daughter! Ha Ha!

I finally gave myself permission (so sad I denied myself for so long) to stitch again. I was insane not to give myself time to enjoy my hobby - LIFE! - and now she's old enough to know better then to mess with Mommy's stitching. She's even started stitching beginner kits!

I recently finished a "Little Stitches" pattern I started for her when she was in my belly . . .

I have sooooo many UFOs I forgot about. I was going to start a project rotation to get them done - am I nuts?

Nope, that's the way I do it. I create the rotation by mixing the ones close to being finished with ones that have a lot of work left. That way I can get the satisfaction of some finishes while slogging away at the big peices. I will only have one or two big peices going along with several smaller pieces.

Of course, since I do a lot of varieties of needlework, the mix also takes that into account. 2 WIPs done, 2 almost done, 4 in process this year.

Just you wait!

My DD is doing some beginner things and I'm going to teach one of DD's hockey friends how to stitch this week.

So post the photo!

What ever works for you!
