Circut Question

Hi.

Can I run the paper through the Xyron machine and then afix it to the thingy to then get cut or will I gunk up the machine?

Just wondering before I break the thing.

are you talking about a sheet of paper. If I need alot of the adhesive I take he little one out of my "X" sticker maker and roll it out on the back of a sheet of paper I attach to something. You might be able to remove the roll and do it manually.

Hi

I mean the paper I want to cut so it has the glue on the back of the paper already.

Its like this:

Paper run through xyron with backing still attached Paper with backing stuck on feeder thingy cut die cut

remove paper with backing stick to layout.

Or am I gonna gunk up the cutting blade?

Hi Kate, I am not sure but it sounds like a GREAT Idea!! Maybe Cowchipper may know? Please forward the results if you feel risky enough to do it? God Bless, Dorothy in NY

i am still not sure but, it is possible it is nothing that a little "UN_DO" can take care of.

Theresa wrote me in an eMail the following as she is still lurking

"Kate,

I'm still in lurk mode. But according to one of the ladies on the Cricut board, if you lightly sand the backing and keep a mat that is really sticky for just cutting Xyron backed paper it should work. When the mat starts to not work for the Xyroned paper use it for regular paper and use a new one for Xyron only. HTH.

Kate, thanks for posting this. I had planned to try it out. I figured not much could happen, either it'll work or it'll gum up the blade and I figured un-do would take care of that (working carefully of course!)

pssst! Do you know that certain one in here thinks of you an dh every so often? especially when I find and use things from one certain nameless addictive store that a lurker took me too and turned me on too for the great bargains, variety and organization of stuff.

pppffffbbbbtttttt!!!

((hug!))
