creative assistance please

we went to Vegas and had these pictures done at this booth. My dad's face in a picture of Indiana Jones. Have you seen these. anyway I have scaned them and printed them out 8x10 and have no ideas on how to scrap them. I have 5 different ones but I dont need to do them all. not sure how to do an

8x10 size as i have never tried that before (my album is 12x12 btw). Thanks

You could mat it and center the 8x10 on the 12x12 page, and put a title above it, and then a journal box below it. Or you could use all 5 of them by making them smaller and using 3 on one page and two on another for a two page layout? Use Vegas inspired embellishments or desert type stuff? Hope this helps! :) Linda C

My mom's picture here is a 8x10 on a 12x12 page. In this case I found that less was more. You might want to find a coordinating paper and just journal on a tag or a tag book if you want to say more.

I would choose the best one to keep as an 8x10 and then take the others and print them up as 4X6s for a 2-page layout. I'd try to do an Indiana Jones layout. Watch the movies, is there a catch phrase that he says, allow the movie to get your creative juices flowing and then go shopping. Look for archeological type things, pyramids, rock sculptures, etc.

I have had the old time pictures done before, but never an indy one. I love the 8x10's on a 12x12 page. That is the only size album I work on these days. I will take my oldest DS school pics and cut them using the CM cutter so they are a very large oval, or I might just use a corner rounder to give it that touch. They are great with a little embellishing. Like M-C said sometimes less is more.

If you would like to do something "fun" and different, why not do a "cut out" of the photo and do the background in the theme of Vegas or one of the Idiana Jones movies? A title that comes to mind could be something like My Dad, My Hero :)

Glad it works for you! I thought afterwards that if you do a 2 page LO, you could do a cut out of the large photo on the one side with the title - almost making it look like a poster for a movie, and then do the others a bit smaller for the other page and frame them in "movie rails". :)
