For straight cropping I use a trimmer, either my small Fiskars or 12" Cutterbee. (Cutterbee works better but is awkward because of its size in my cluttered workspace.) For circles or ovals I use a Coluzzle template. It works better than any other shape cutter I've tried, and is close to foolproof. I really hate messing up a photo, even a copy. They take too long to reprint. If I could have only one tool, it would be the Cutterbee. Most of my pages use straight edges, and the Cutterbee is very reliable. I can recommend it for any type of straight cutting.

I use the Creative Memories 6" guillitine cutter for small photos and then my 12" fiskar's for everything else. I have a circle cutter from Fiskar's that I like and have now mastered, finally. I also have coulezzles as they were in the clearance aisle for 70% off at my mom's Michaels (horseheads, ny)

I usually just free hand mine. But my mom swears by Creative Memories cutting system. She has had hers forever and hasn't changed the blades yet. She says it is extremely easy but it is pricey which is why I don't have one :) The link for the cutters is

Cathy, I use the Cutterbee, also Perfect Layer with a craft knife for the straight cuts and Coluzzle and Circle cutter for other shapes. I have all the Creative Memories shapes but rarely use them, they are a bit more cumbersome. You can pick up different ones at sales and garage sales and you'll find the system that works best for you. I would also borrow at crops and try them all out. Hilda

The items I use the most for cropping are my personal cutter from Creative Memories and their corner rounder. Like mentioned by others I seldom use the round or oval shapes. Not because I don't find them easy to use, but maybe because I'm not that creative. :)

I'm with you Lynne. Those are the 2 things I use also. And mine are from Creative Memories also. I also have the cutting system from there, but never use it.

I use my fiskars 12" cutter, and CM corner rounder, I also have a Coluzzle circle cutter. I don't normally do odd shapes for my pics. Only round or squared off, maybe an oval that I have a stencil for. I have tried the CM cutters that a friend of mine has. She uses hers faithfully, but I prefer something simpler. HTH Linda

I have been thinking of getting a coluzzle. I like the thought of not having to free hand circles :) Are they expensive?

I crop my pictures using my Fiskars 12" cutter or my SU Tabletop Cutter. I would love to have a corner rounder punch, though to have some variety.

For Circles I still use the CM circle cutter. It's easy and you can cut different sizes. The CM corner rounder works good. I also use the square punch and circle punch from CM.

Fiskars has some newer punches out that I would like to try.
