ANYhoo....One of my friends at work is a newlywed and a newbie at scrapbooking. She hears me and my scrap friend Barb talking about our addiction, and I think we got her hooked after Friday! :-) Her DH is in boot camp for the Navy, and she was wanting to make a scrapbook for him (as a surprise) with pics of his induction ceremonyhis family that was there, and then more to do on his future graduation pics. She had already bought a really NICE leather book that came with some papers and stickers. So we took her to this Daisy Lane store, and set about teaching her some things. FIRST and FOREMOST.....the enabling process commenced....LOL I spent about an hour showing her around the store and helping her pick out additional papers, stickers, and tools she needed. Showed her LO's that other crafters had hanging on the walls, etc. etc. She watched us scrapbook for about 30 minutes, and then started on hers, borrowing our tools, and asking questions and I have to admit, I was really impressed! She picked it up really well! She went shopping TWO more times for more things....she is sooooo addicted now.....thanks to US...lol I think she ended up spending twice as much as I did, and she kept saying.."Thanks a LOT Linda!!! Yeah.. Thanks a LOT for making me buy all this stuff!!" I had to tell her it was called enabling and we all have to enable each other..hahahaha Just wait til they have KIDS....:-) We ended up scrapping about 6 hours, with a break to Pizza Hut for lunch buffet. All in all it was a very fun day! I got five pages done! I will post them as soon as I can!

LOL!! Linda I relate to that too!!

The one lady that wanted me to help with a wedding album at the holidays, well instead her and her dd came over to see mine and how to do basics.

She then begged me to let her use some things (which I did) then last month for her birthday she told her mom "Mom I want scrappin stuff."

Her mom then asked me what basic tools are required. LOL! well she went to Hob Lob and she came back and told me she would get even with me. she said she did not know there was so much and it could cost so much - FOR PAPER!!!

I told her sorry and wait till her dd finds a LSS that does nothing but scrapbooking stuff. Her mom, said she isn't going with her and she ain't going to go and do the buying again. she will just give her the money - LOL! In fact dd is getting married come June and told mom she wants o Michael's and Hob Lob gift lists or certificates. Humm, wonder what she is looking at getting - LOL!!

Don't ya'll in here just love this, this, sport? addiction? hobby? disease? WHATEVER? LOL!!!!!

ok I posted the pics of my LO's in my Webshots today when I got home from work. They start after the Survivor pages, the last five. The lighting could have been better to take the pics but oh well!

Great LO's Linda. I really like the pumpkin carving - like the way you wrapped the fiber around the title. Wow! That is a big store. I have never been in one that size before. I could probably spend days there. Sandy

Thanks Sandy! :-) I really enjoyed making that one and I was pleased with the fibers. I dont use them very often. OMG you have NO idea how lucky I am to NOT live too close to that store!!! LOL I would probably move IN! Seriously, if you EVER get the notion to get over towards Mattoon, it is VERY worth the trip to go to that store.
