My sister and I took a bit of a drive today. A favorite shop on the "Shop Hop" list had sent postcards out about a 50% off all fabric sale.

Now who can resist that? They have the kind of fabric I love so off we went.

The good news was that I got 7 yards of fabric for $25. The bad news was that you had to buy 1 yard minimum cuts. I would have bought a lot more if I could have gotten 1/4 yard cuts for applique as they have lots of great tone on tones that I like. Oh well, their loss.

For those nearby and in the shopping mood, the store is in Hollister, CA and is called Timber & Textiles (the Timber part is because they also sell furniture) They will only be carrying 54" fabric in the future although the lady said some would be all cotton.

I know what you mean, Marcella. A couple internet stores send out sale notices (with a $1-2 per yard discount) , but you have a 1 yard minimum to get the sale price. I usually don't want that much and don't order any since it's not much of a savings at that price if you have to buy more than you want. Now, 50 percent off might entice me. KJ
