Shopping Weekend!

My sisters and I did the north/east bay shop hop. This was the first time we did this particular shop hop. We did nine shops in two days plus one warehouse sale and drove about 350 miles. phew! Four of the shops were new to me, all but one were new to my sisters. It's always fun to visit new shops.

I was collecting indigos and asian prints. I got a quite nice selection.

I was also collecting flannels for more receiving blankets and bought about 6 blankets worth of very cute flannels all at one shop!

A few odds and ends of nice fabrics found their way into my bag as did a couple of notions.

At the end of the hop, we drove up to the C&T warehouse sale. Wow. They had new, beautiful quilt books for either $5 or $10 each. There were current, but damaged books for either $1, $3 or $5 depending on the damage. All patterns were .50. Quilt print papers or wrapping papers were $1. I got 6 books, 4 patterns and two packages of paper for $50. Such a great deal!

Now I need to decide...wash laundry or new fabrics?

Wow, wish I lived where you do! I think....

I did go to a quilt show today. It was very good as usual. They did a bed turning, which went over very well. Vintage quilts and tops----must have had

25 or 30 of them. Three vendors were there so I got in a little shopping too.

I think we all know the answer to that one! After all, you can always quilt in a bathrobe. :)

Glad you had fun!!!

How fun to see vintage quilts. Sounds like a fun adventure.

Wow! Sounds like great fun, Marcella! And what a decision to have to make today -- hmmm...I think I know what I'd wash. ;)

It was really fun. I ended up doing one load of emergency laundry and two loads of new flannel.
