Curious- how many albums are you working on right now

Apr 20, 2005 33 Replies

My current concentration is on:

1: heritage album (book2) 2: world travel 3: yearbook 2004

of lesser priority are:

4: baby's trip to China 5: baby girl album (cousin's baby) 6: yearbook 2005 7: holidays album (through the years)

Though, like Sandy, I view myself as more of a page scrapper, following my moods rather than sticking to one topic start to finish. I just happen to have the albums to insert them into as I go along. :)

I'm working on a wedding album for a gift with another one waiting as soon as the first is finished. I'm also trying to finish the pages from our cruise which will go into the vacation album.

I usually don't do albums. I just pick a group of pictures that catch my eye and do pages. I do have albums started for my daughter, heritage pages and family pages. I add to them as I complete pages that will fit into them. I like to have more than one project going at any time so when I get bored with one thing I can switch to another. Weird I know, but I have always been that way.

When I'm working on them, I have a Travel album, 4 Family albums (2 8 1/8x11 & 2 12x12), a friends album and a Nature & place album.

Albums I've been working on:

Heritage Current events My two girls as children (now grown)

30 years of feline family members Birds in my backyard Grandchildren, for my MIL (her only great-grandchildren)- she has the original album, her birthday gift last year, but I have more pages to add. This book gives me two ways to scrap the pix, since hers is 8 by 11 and my albums are 12 x 12. But I usually use the same ideas on both pages. I have loads of pictures from various trips and vacations over the years that need to go onto pages someday. Hopefully while I can remember where they were taken and when... Including some from the Bronx Zoo some 20 years ago. Chrissy, I would love to see your layouts when they are finished. I wonder how much the zoo has changed. Someday I would love to get back up there. We're planning a trip to Atlanta zoo next week. 10 years I've lived here, and never been there. Camera goes with me...

For me the relative question should be "which album should you be working on right now?". The answer to that is my school years album. The reunion is in late June and I set that date as my goal. I haven't even opened it once yet this year. It's already 30+ page protectors (60+ pages) full.

I do have some others though that are works in progress. 1-Vacations

2-Everyday Stuff 3-Holidays 4-My Flower Beds 5-Book-Of-Me (Okay, I haven't started this one yet, but I bought the coolest 8x8 album to use at HL. It looks like a handbag.)

I also have the following 13 completed books:

I have been scrapping since 1997 but have only been seriously working on finishing projects since 2003. Before that I finished less than 50 layouts. I finished 5 scrapbooks in 2003, 4 last year and 4 so far this year.

I'm working on

1) my Vacation Album - think this might become two albums - too many pics.

2) Organizing photo's for my nieces ABC Baby Album for her first year

3) A miscelaneous Album...everything additional, but might develop into Theme albums of their own.

Judy, The pictures of our dear PW in the woods are so funny. He is strictly an indoor cat and is over 20 years old so he is a riot camping. He must be kept on a leash...rules of the parks..and he is very secure with that. We have to schoo him out of the tent because he prefers inside to outdoors. Silly cat. The biggest laugh is we have to take a litter box! He just does not understand the concept of "going" out side ! Our vet said he is senile...very old for a cat..so we just indulge him and yes,he is spoiled.

a good friend is a life long treasure

aahhh shame Sabrina! I just worked out, that must make him about 100 in human years. Our vet said 1 human year equals 5.5 cat years! I think if you get that old, your entitled to be indulged a bit! :)))
