What is your fav size album and what other sizes do you use often?

I know we ask this question from time to time, but we have a lot of new artists in here and I was wondering! Also I'm compiling a list of favorites for the website. Did the cardstock colors last week and thought I'd do the albums this week.

So A. Absolute favorite most used size. B. Other sizes used in order from most used to less used.

Here are mine: A. 12x12 (I love all the space) B. 6x6 (very economical if you already have paper and cardstock in 12x12 for doing gifts) C. 8.5x11 (great size4 for anything you're going to exchange and mail out)

My favs are the same, M-C !

1st is 12 x12 2nd is 6 x6 3rd is 8 1/2 x 11 I only use 8 1/2 x 11 for my recipe pages and paperpiecing. The 6 x 6 are great for doing quick little gift albums. I ,too love all the room of the 12 x 12. I have about five 8 1/2 x 11 that I did in the begining,but once I tried 12 x 12...I was hooked. Love how many pics and amt of journaling I can get on the pages.

I love the 12 x 12 too, for all the space it provides. I've used 8.5 x 11 for gift albums. The new 8 x 8 albums look like they would be neat to use for gift albums or for a special occasion. There's now a lot of different papers and embellishments designed for that size. I've never tried to make an album smaller than 8.5 x 11. Something else for the "gotta try this" file...

I've only tried 12x12 and 8.5x11 as yet. I like both equally, because I use them for different reasons. The 12x12 for my more formal/traditional LO's. And the 8.5x11 for all the other misc and "fun" LO's.

Haven't tried anything other than 12 x 12 yet, but will be trying 6 x 6 albums in the future as gifts.

Hi.

Funny I am leaning towards the smaller albums 5x7, 6x6, and of course

4x6 (see my sister's baby album).

I do like the space that 12x12 and 8.5x11 tends to give but they take so much embellishing.

So my favorite in order are the 6x6, 12x12, 4x6

I primarily work with 12x12. I have also used 8.5x11 when working with some of my family members. I have considered using other sizes but have not trid anything else yet.

I don't have a absolute favorite but in order of pages done for albums, 8

1/2x11 has the most pages, 12x12 next and I'm wanting to work with 6x6. I am slowly staring to work on more 12x12 pages though.

Well I used to think that 12x12 was my favorite size but now I am not sure. I love all sizes! All the current books I have started are 12x12 but I have been doing a lot of smaller books lately too. The next ongoing book that I start will likely be 8.5x11 because I have found myself doing mostly one photo layouts and 12x12 is just too big for those. Today I had planned on making two 3.5x4.5 books as gifts for my mom and mother-in-law using the pictures of my grand-daughter I had taken a couple weeks ago but, I never did get started on those - yet.

My absolute favorite sized album is CM 12x12. That is the only size I use. I can't scrap on 8 1/2 x 11 as I find it way too small to work with.

My favorite and for the most part the only one I use is my CM 12x12's. I do like thier 7x7 album for specific events/gifts. Iused those for my brother's wedding, and my parent's vacation which I gave to them as gifts. I was going to use an 8.5x11 for my oldest DS for his scouting, but just decided to do a page for the events in his year by year album. I am however doing 2 8.5x11's for the boys portraits. All those pictures you get taken professionally, and thier school pics, and not a clue what to do... I saw someone do this and it turned out beautiful. Mel

I'm mostly a 12x12 album person. I love the space and I can get ever so many pics on a page and it does not look over crowded. I use CM 7x7 for each of the grandchildren.

8.5x11 for my Girl Scout albums 6x6 for gift albums I'm currently working on 8x8 albums for each of my parents (divorced) of all of the grandchildren and g-grandchildren.

Has anyone ever used a 3x3 mini-album? I'm thinking of getting some as stocking stuffers for some young girls - I know, it's way too early to think about Christmas - what do you think?

Thanks Melissa

It is never to early to be thinking about christmas shopping. I do mine all year. That way I do not have to be hastled with the oh my god I forgot someone the night before, and DH screaming at the $500 christmas bill. I found if I spread it out all year long, he does not notice that the money is gone (as much). But I can make something up, like I needed to fill my gas tank again, and it cost me $40, at Wal-mart... which in our town has a gas station.... I am so bad and sneaky, but he thanks me come christmas.

I love 12x12. I mainly use only 12x12 because I love the space and you can do more on a page. For my dads 50th birthday gift album I used

8.5x11 because of it being a gift.

My favorite is 12 x 12. Lots of room for lots of pictures and embellishments.

I'm currently doing two 8 x 8 wedding albums for gifts and find that I really like that size. I'm going to do an 8 x 8 for my mom's Mother's Day gift.

I tried a 6 x 6 and found it almost too small. I may give it another try sometime!

I'm with you the 6X6 is just too small for me. The 8X8 works out well if I want a small album, but I love the 12X12 for almost anything.

Definately 12x12. That's all I use, except for my hubby's little garden album, which is falling behind, now that I think of it....

My favs are...

  1. 12 x 12 for all the space!
  2. 6 x 6 (great for brag books and gifts)

I also have two 10 x 10 albums, but those will probably be the last I use that size. It's an awkward one and due to the sprial, kind of hard to work with.
