February challenge completed!

The Challenge -

The February 2006 Challenge, sent in by Cathy R, is to create a 1 or 2 page >layout using items from as many different companies as possible. You need >to keep a list of what supplies from what company you are using and post >that when you post the link to show your completed challenge page. You also >need to send me a jpg of your completed project with the list of supplies so >that I can work on the webpage and keep track of the project info for the >contest.

And what I did last night while I was supposed to be asleep... (NEVER take a sudafed at bedtime... I was up all night working on this thing and I didn't get to sleep until five am!)

I don't keep track of who made what in my supply cabinets, so this was a real challenge for me, but I realised that a lot of the supplies have the manufacturer's name printed on them somewhere, and I have a LOT of bits and pieces. I was going to do a romantic layout of my husband and me but I didn't have any photos printed that went with my idea, so I used my old school photos instead - I've always adored pink and pretty so it's appropriate. I made my background using patterned papers by eight different companies, and three different cardstocks, and amazingly they go together as if they were MEANT to be a set... this morning I finished it off with embellishments from another ten places.

Here's the layout:

  1. Unknown company (yellow heart punch without a manufacturer's label)
13.PSX rubber heart stamp (but PSX already used above so this doesn't count.)

GRAND TOTAL - THIRTY-ONE DIFFERENT COMPANIES ON ONE PAGE!!!!!!!

(PS. I didn't deliberately use different glues - it just happened. The complicated background was glued with my gluestick, the photos are stuck on with photomounts so they're removable if I ever decide I don't like the layout, the tag and title are stuck with gluedots, and I used a couple of popdots for dimension. I don't really know if this counts but I kept track anyway...)

It's wonderful, Karen! I'll have to keep track of who qualifies for the contest and to enter the Bingo...

It looks wonderful Karen! I too had sleeping issues last night, but I stayed in bed. LOL It was too darn cold to get out of my nice warm bed! And I think you just gave me some inspiration that I needed for the pictures for this challenge.
