The Challenge -
And what I did last night while I was supposed to be asleep... (NEVER take a sudafed at bedtime... I was up all night working on this thing and I didn't get to sleep until five am!)
I don't keep track of who made what in my supply cabinets, so this was a real challenge for me, but I realised that a lot of the supplies have the manufacturer's name printed on them somewhere, and I have a LOT of bits and pieces. I was going to do a romantic layout of my husband and me but I didn't have any photos printed that went with my idea, so I used my old school photos instead - I've always adored pink and pretty so it's appropriate. I made my background using patterned papers by eight different companies, and three different cardstocks, and amazingly they go together as if they were MEANT to be a set... this morning I finished it off with embellishments from another ten places.
Here's the layout:
Papers:
1.All my memories studio collection 2.Memories Magenta-style 'pink trellis' 3.Vernest Lange's Scrapbooking Memories 4.Karen Neuberger paper adventures 5.Karen Foster Design 'rose petals' 6.M. Dee Agnecies SB 05 series one 'baby girl' 7.Provocraft soft marble pomegranate 8.It takes twoStickers & Embellishments:
1.Miss Elizabeth's (black lettering) 2.Stickapotamus Jolee's Boutique (butterfly corners) 3.PSX stickers (rose) 4.Joann's Essentials (brads) 5.Creative Express (heart brads) 6.Lincraft Australia (pink fiber) 7.Oriental Trader (silk flowers) 8.artwrap.com.au (3d flower stickers)Tools & Miscellaneous supplies:
1.Colluzzle (tag template) 2.Westcott's titanium scissors 3.Fiskars (heart border punch) 4.Carls (paper trimmer) 5.Xyron 6.Sakura gellyroll pen (pink) 7.Big and Juice (brown inkpad) 8.Stampin' Up (popdots) 9.Gluedots International (gluedots) 10.Therm o Web (mounting squares) 11.Scotch 3M (gluestick)- Unknown company (yellow heart punch without a manufacturer's label)
GRAND TOTAL - THIRTY-ONE DIFFERENT COMPANIES ON ONE PAGE!!!!!!!
(PS. I didn't deliberately use different glues - it just happened. The complicated background was glued with my gluestick, the photos are stuck on with photomounts so they're removable if I ever decide I don't like the layout, the tag and title are stuck with gluedots, and I used a couple of popdots for dimension. I don't really know if this counts but I kept track anyway...)
