Fibers 101

Dave asked the question buried in the fibers thread asking HOW to incorporate fibers into LO. I wanted to bring this into a new thread because I too would like more instructions. Please show us your LOs!

Ronni introduced me to fibers:

Look at the very last picture in the album. The fun fur is justsimply laid across the page. I was amazed at the difference.Monday night I made some embellishments using heavy thread (I don'thave a supply of yarn & ribbons). You could use yarn or fun fur justas easily. I took a 1" square scrap. On the back side I used pencilto sketch an asterisk...corner to corner, vertical & horizontal. Ithen took a thumbtack to punch holes about 1/8" from the edge at eachline. I then took needle & thread to stitch the star burst. Itwasn't anything elaborate. It looked like a large asterisk orstarburst. I used a light colored heavy duty thread on darkcardstock. I then made a second and mounted them both to a mat. Thisbecame a nice filler embellishment. Also... I took a 1"x2" scrap. Using the same technique, I punched 5 holes along the bottom edge and 5 holes along the long edge. Then I looped the thread through the holes. I don't know what they call it, but to me it looks like a sail. They made very nice corner boarders for a large photo.

Please share your examples with us! Thanks!
