Finds today...

Matthew and I went off to the stores this morning... LSS first... needed some paper for PPing the recipe pages for the swaps. :) They had some new Jolee's i'd not seen... little wrestling garb!!! OMG... my nephew is a wrestler and heck, I probably could find some of my brother from his wrestling days. Communion dress and suit. LINGERIE! Bride's dress, white groom tux and the doctor's thing! It has an XRAY! LOL I left with paper only LOL

Went to Ben's to get the 8.5x11 papers to get moving on the recipes. They had the spool o'ribbons, some colors, for 24 cents. I got me some red, white, teal (dark like Xmas green) and orange and brown. And snowflake confetti. It was so much fun! I need to quit going to BF. It's a BAAAAAD place to go. It sucks up my $$$ too quickly. LOL

Hope y'all are having a great day. I'm cleaning up the LR so we can have OM practice tonight.

I do have one rag... mortgage companies! OMG... I'm going to stop being nice to telemarketers! I don't want your business... if I did, I WOULD CALL YOU! I feel better. :)

LOL Susan! Telemarketers! One day a guy phoned and said he could fill my freezer with a side of beef. I told him...come on over and fill it up! And who would I send the thank you card too for the kind gift. He hung up quickly!

Oh my gosh Mindi.. I had that happen to me.. I look like a 12 year old and sound like one too. I'm 26 LOL :) I had someone call and ask if they could talk to my mommy and I said she lives in Ohio and sorry my husband isn't home either and they stammered an I'm sorry and hung up.. All I could do was laugh.. :) I always get funny looks when I go shopping at the mall with Abby..

LOL. Did you sign the national do-not-call list? My only advise to anyone fighting telemarketers is this... Whenever you get one on the phone don't just tell them you're not interested, tell them to take you off their calling list for the entire company. If you don't ask them to take you off, they'll just keep calling. If you do tell them, record it because if they call back you can actually sue them for damages (not that I'm advocating that, it's just a fact). I used to work for a telemarketing group (actually two different ones over the years) and they are taught to get three no's before hanging up (I know, because I trained some of them! a girl's gotta make a living somehow...) Anyway, thought i'd share the info on how to keep them from calling...

We didn't do the no call list... seemed to be loopholes and wasn't worth the bother. I do demand they remove me when they call. The one that called for weeks, including at least another 4 or 5 times after asked to NOT call, finally got the message I think... it's been 2 weeks since they called. I talked to a manger and demanded removal, and asked for the number to call them back when they did it again, because my lawyer would call them back. It bugs the crap out of me that all these mortgage companies call, send us mail, and so on. Yes, I have a mortgage. Yes, I'd like to refi it, but NO, I will do it on MY terms with MY choice of company.

I feel better. LOL

That's a good one! we did something one time. We had moved into base housing in Lousyana in

2000. We'd owned a home prior to that. Well, the mail that came after the move was those stupid "You're approved for refi!" DH calls the company of latest mailing and says we're interested. "Do you own your home?" No. "Who does?" The government. We explained to them we lived in base housing... geesh... they didn't want to give us that equity loan after all. LOL We didn't get any more of those stupid things while living there. Now here... every week, I could start a bonfire. :D

Hi Susan! How's the weather there right now? My hubby is over there taking a class at Little Creek.

It was miserable up on the peninsula. I think Norfolk/VABeach and Little Creek had some of the same. I fell asleep "early" last night (before midnight) and woke up later in the night to howling winds and strong rains. This morning? It's actually sunshiny! How long is your DH up here for class? I've not yet been to Little Creek. Or I don't think so LOL Been to Norfolk, Portsmouth and Oceania though. I need to go to the NEX at Norfolk this weekend... had some cool Christmas stuff in the flyer!

DH came home this afternoon. He was glad to get back to the warm weather. Of course I hate to tell him that this is actually very cool for Hawaii right now!

You should check out the Commissary at Little Creek. When we lived there all the comms were very crowded, at pay times with lines snaking all around the back of the store. I've never seen anything remotely like it in San Diego, Groton, or here. However Little Creek seemed to be the least crowded of the three, and it was new and larger than most when we were there. Plus you can get off the bridge, then get off the freeway at Little Creek Road and head right there. Most people go around via 44 and then up Independence but the other way is faster.
